Bruno Fernandes admitted his disappointment with the result. After his Manchester United were thrashed 7-0 by Liverpool in the Premier League last night.
Bruno captained the team in that game. But United’s unbeaten run of 11 games was disappointingly halt.
“It’s frustrating, disappointing, sad because it was a really bad result,” Bruno said.
“We arrived here with a different mindset before the game. In the first half we did very well, we had a lot of chances. We controlled most of the game in the first half. I think they didn’t create many chances.
“In the second half we tried to go forward and score goals. And we’ve lost our balance a little bit. We have given them too much space against this type of team. We have to avoid that.”
“Intense and fast paced game. We didn’t play up to the standard. And need to come back quickly again. This is what Manchester United is. We must not overwhelm with regrets. But we have to get up and come back.”
